The original’s poor four direction rolling system made dodging enemy attacks hard. It was one of the things that increased the game’s difficulty in a frustrating way. Thankfully, players can breathe a sigh of relief because omnidirectional rolling is in the remake. What’s clever about this is that Demon’s Souls’ structure makes every playthrough feel different because you’re able to approach each world in new ways. For my first playthrough, I went with a magic-focused build and went to world 3 first so I could stock up on magic-replenishing consumables and unlock the NPC that grants access to the most powerful spells.
The initial bosses yield fewer souls, but the further into the game, the more souls you’ll acquire. However, using souls in this way is the least recommended way. These are unique souls that you get once per playthrough, so it is worth considering what to use them for.
Also, the provided in-game tip videos are fantastic tools that give progressively more specific hints. Those can either point you in the right direction if you’re lost in a stage or give you crucial tips against tough bosses to help you figure out a proper strategy to deal with them. One other area that Demon’s Souls obviously benefits by virtue of being on a console with an SSD is a substantial reduction in load times. Rarely will you ever wait more than five seconds in between deaths or while teleporting to a new location before you’re back in the action. I can’t overstate how huge this is for a game like Demon’s Souls, in which you’re expected to die over and over again and also to repeatedly reset a level for the purpose of farming. You have to make sure you have the bundle turned on when you start the game, as you cannot apply it to an already created character. One of the things fans loved about the original game is its unrelenting difficulty, and therefore, the supreme satisfaction it provides. In order to properly brave the harsh world of Demon’s Souls, there are a ton of armor sets in the game you can utilize to make your journey just a tad smoother. The Dragon Bone Smasher can be found just after entering the Demon’s Souls Dragon God boss arena, but it requires pure white World Tendency to find. This weapon also gives you slightly more protection against fire damage, making it almost like another piece of armor.
Old Raggedy Robes, Old Raggedy Gloves, Old Raggedy Boots, and x2 Aged Spice on one body and x1 Jade Hair Ornament on the other. Be ready to face two Dreglings, one on your left and one on your right. Continue traveling until you reach a corpse that can be looted for x4 Pine Resin. Get back and now head right, you will follow a corridor until you reach a seemingly dead end. There’s a hole on the right, beware of the three Boletaria Soldiers in there. Go to TG88 com of the stairs and wait there until a second Dragon arrives.

On the right side, you will find another Dregling and beneath the giant door there are two more. Another Dregling will come out of a wooden barricade, located left to the giant door. On the other side of the door, there is also a Dregling, but it will remain hidden until you get much closer.

This guide shows all of the Ring Locations in the Demon’s Souls PS5 Remake / Remaster. Much like the excellent remake for Shadow of the Colossus, Bluepoint Games has really delivered something special with this remake of Demon’s Souls. If I was at From Software, I would be very worried about now. Simply because churning out the same Souls game every year is no longer an option when other studios can do it so much better. The trophies are also more interesting and less of a slog compared to the original game (shown above), and while I don’t normally bother with trophies, I actually had fun acquiring them all for this remake. This single change makes the whole game a lot more straightforward and less awkward.
